G.S.T "The Taxman"
Grenache sourced from old, dry grown vines in the eastern gravelly flats of the SV – best location for the variety. Too fertile to grow grenache on our soil. The grapes were all picked at the samer time and “co-fermnented,” meaning the blend was made on the day of picking. Good thing about co -fermentation is that the wine has complete integration from day 1. Also the darker skins of the Temp and Shiraz can help the lighter grenache juice extract more colour. Aged in seasoned oak for only a few months, mainly to allow the tannins to soften out prior to bottling. As the wne has a relatively low tannin structure, the wine is ready to drink now but will have a limited manageability.
Colour: Bright purple
Nose: Candy, Strawberries, Roses
Palate: A light and soft style. Upfront cherries lead to a super smooth and fruity palate. A round and subtle tannin structure creates a super easy wine to enjoy.
Drink: Created to be enjoyed as a youngster – now through to 2022.
Residual Sugar: <0.5g per litre.
