2014 OLIVINE BRUT
The rare Madeleine grapes give robust flavours to this extremely dry and crisp wine. As the wine ages in the bottle, it develops yeasty/biscuit characteristics, increasing its complexity. This wine has a longstanding, loyal fan base. Our Brut spends a minimum of 4 years time on lees.
Colour: Straw with green tints; persistent bead.
Nose: Elderflower, musk, bread dough, robust biscuit aromas.
Palate: Lively grapefruit and tangerine acid, white stone fruit, honey with a delicate creamy mousse.
Drink: Chilled, perfect now and for at least 2 years.
Residual Sugar: 8g per litre.
The Cheese Barrel Recommends: Udder Delights Brie, Dellendale Triple Cream Brie, Brillat Savarin, Delice de Cremiers, Goats Brie, Labuche D'Affinois, HaVe OMG, Royal Faucon & Truffle Delice
